Description

This easy homemade whipped cream recipe uses just three ingredients for a light, fluffy topping made in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup Cold Whipping Cream (240 ml), chilled
3 tablespoons Powdered Sugar (25 g)
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (2.5 ml)

Instructions

  1. Chill a mixing bowl and whisk or beaters in the freezer for 10–15 minutes.

  2. Pour the cold whipping cream into the chilled bowl.

  3. Whip on medium speed using a hand or stand mixer.

  4. Once slightly thickened, add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

  5. Continue whipping until soft peaks form.

  6. Whip a few seconds longer for stiff peaks, if desired.

  7. Stop immediately to avoid overwhipping.

Notes

  • Cold cream and chilled tools help whipped cream hold its shape.

  • Do not overwhip the cream because it may turn grainy.

  • Best used immediately or within 24 hours when refrigerated.

  • Gently re-whip if the cream softens before serving.
